Third album by Salem Tradition driven forward by the inspired singing of Christine Salem, which draws its energy from the maloya. A maloya which likes to mix it up with the rhythms of the Comores, Madagascar and west Africa and of course Reunion. Released in 2005.

Salem Tradition has given birth to a new generation of Maloya; a musical style described as Indian in substance and African in sound. Deeply rooted in the melange of the Reunion Island's diverse culture, Maloya combines its Indian Ocean influences with pulsating African drumming and instruments unique to the island such as the "kayamb⢠(a hollow instrument partly filled with rice or waves on the seashore). Salem Tradition has earned its place on the world music scene both at home and abroad singing to rhythmic beats in their native language of Reunion Island Creole as well as Malagasy, Comorian and Swahili.
